What is Workforce Development?
Here's just one example of what the Greensboro/High Point/Guilford Workforce Development Board does to impact economic development and employment in the Triad area:

  • An impending shortage of skilled workers threatens the future competitiveness of the U.S. aviation and aerospace industry. By 2014, almost 40% of employees in aviation and aerospace businesses will be eligible for retirement. As a result, there are many rewarding and challenging opportunities in the aviation industry in the Piedmont Triad.┬áThe Greensboro/High Point/Guilford Workforce Development Board actively engages area employers, community colleges and others to turn challenges into opportunities.
